SLOWLY LOSING YOU
Watching the things you do,
Pulling us both under to the emptiness you call home,
Wondering if you even know I’m here.
Is this where I need to be?
I want to turn away,
To leave our lives behind.
When you call to me I see the desperation,
But If I only watch you There is no need for me until I can save you from this prison.
Should I leave you to this alone?
Where is the divine power?
You will not open to me?
Can you feel me now?
Until your walls fall you cannot feel the warmth I can give.
Do you feel your life leaving?
Traveling the path that leads to nothing,
Never really knowing what you have found.
Are you ever coming home?
Turn your back and run!
I’ll still be here when you find this path again.
I will never leave this place you know.
Eat the sun, drink the earth.
When you get your fill you will find me again.
Don’t look the other way come into me and live.
Pulling us both under to the emptiness you call home,
Wondering if you even know I’m here.
Is this where I need to be?
